Italy has inaugurated the Registro Italiano E-motion, recognized as the world's first official Porsche club created exclusively for owners of battery-electric Porsche models. The club has already completed its first major event: a multi-day group tour through the Alps.
The inaugural gathering brought together 131 participants and 73 electric vehicles, starting at the Porsche Experience Center Franciacorta in northern Italy and concluding at the Hans Peter Porsche Traumwerk museum in Austria. The convoy consisted of 42 Porsche Taycan and 31 Porsche Macan Electric models in various configurations.
The event highlighted a shift in Porsche community culture, focusing on the shared experience of electric ownership rather than outright performance. Porsche supported the tour with mobile fast-charging units, emphasizing a relaxed travel rhythm where charging stops became social opportunities.
Club origins trace back to a 2021 private chat group for Italian Taycan owners, which later gained formal recognition with support from Porsche Italia. According to officials, electric models are attracting a younger, more family-oriented demographic to the brand's enthusiast base.
The successful tour positions Registro Italiano E-motion as a potential template for future EV-centered Porsche clubs worldwide, blending the brand's heritage with its electric future.
