Audi Sport has applied its high-performance RS treatment to the new A5, resulting in the muscular 2027 RS5. This model introduces the brand's first plug-in hybrid powertrain for the RS5, generating a formidable 630 horsepower.
Performance estimates suggest the new RS5 will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.3 seconds, matching its non-hybrid predecessor. The hybrid system features a rear electric motor that enables torque-vectoring by shuffling power between the rear wheels. Carbon-ceramic brakes are offered as an optional upgrade for enhanced stopping power.
The vehicle is scheduled to arrive in U.S. dealerships either in late 2026 or early 2027.
